About Me

I grew up in the Ottawa Valley in Ontario, Canada where music is a part of life. It’s in my blood. I remember, from a very young age, my Dad playing guitar and singing, with my Mom accompanying him on the piano. I started playing guitar at the age of 14 and at 18 years old I started my journey as a musician, playing in various country bands across Canada. That would be the foundation for me branching out as a singer/songwriter and recording two albums of my own.

In 2021 I moved to Fogo Island, Newfoundland which is a stunningly beautiful island in the North Atlantic.

My first experience in building was a short stint at Larrivee Guitars. That was all I needed to know that I wanted to build guitars. My official training began with Sergei de Jonge and from there I had the rare good fortune to apprentice with renowned builder, Linda Manzer for three years. My last formal training was with the talented Michel Pellerin in Quebec, Canada. This final stage of training is where I honed my craft to produce my current, rich and contemporary sound.

It’s an important and enjoyable part of my journey as a builder to determine what your needs are as a player. Your guitar should feel like it’s a part of you. We’ll work together in choosing woods, we’ll discuss your playing style and what you’re looking for in the instrument.

I would love to hand-craft your next guitar.
